Cherry Pavilion in Zhongshan Park

Located on the northeast side of the Big Lawn, the Cherry Grove next to the Cherry Pavilion was formerly known as the Japanese Garden. It was co-designed with landscape architects from Yokohama. The grove boasts 157 cherry trees, making the cherry blossoms a spectacular feature of Zhongshan Park.

In 2005, those trees were replanted more sparsely on an expanded area of grassland and a boulder path was paved in the grove, drawing a better view of the cherry blossoms.
